FASTER, the world’s foremost, cyclist dedicated performance center has invited Sigma as an affiliate to offer you an experience that is truly unique. Never before has one outlet been capable of addressing a cyclist’s every need.

The FASTER/Sigma partnership will completely redesign you as a cyclist. We work together to offer a completely hands-on concierge level experience that is like no other. From low-speed wind tunnel testing to expert nutritional guidance and training, FASTER and Sigma coordinate to improve your cycling experience in a manner that will completely redefine what it means to be “comprehensive”

“With the use of Sigma’s advanced metabolic testing, is possible to determine if further attention to your limitations is necessary before moving into a different period of training instead of blindly adhering to more traditional, non-individualized periodization plans.”

Additionally, with the application of our test data, Sigma can determine, to the calorie, how many grams of carbohydrate and fat are necessary to continue fueling during an event, or provide you with a precise nutritional strategy to maximize your ability to gain, lose, or maintain weight.

ABOUT FASTER

Founder James Kramer began racing road bikes in 1988. After upgrading to Category 2, he was able to join a compilation of U.S. amateurs to race in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, and Austria in 1992. Local racing in the northwest continued until he was married in 1995, upon which he put his competitive focus on building a series of successful wireless and tower related businesses in the northwest.

In 2008, after 13 years off the bike, he returned to his love of competitive cycling, and concurrently started the process of researching new entrepreneurial opportunities.  In July of 2010, he realized an opportunity that was the perfect intersection of business opportunity, his skill set and passion.  What he realized was that there was no comprehensive performance center in the U.S. for the competitive road cyclist or triathlete. Furthermore, the Phoenix market, as the 5th largest city in the U.S., with an international airport, year round sunshine, and excellent training options, was the perfect fit for such a facility.

After meeting Paraic McGlynn, a native of Ireland with professional race experience, and high level involvement with national team coaching and policy making in Ireland, it was clear the vision now had the cycling industry knowledge that Mr. Kramer did not. Mr. McGlynn had spent the past 15 years working with professional athletes, working domestically and internationally in the cycling industry, and being widely regarded as one of the best bike fit and biomechanics persons in the world.

From November of 2010 until launch, the two worked together to refine the vision for the facility, and have put in place a combination of world class staff members and cutting edge services to both athletes and cycling industry manufacturers. They are committed to providing an environment to its’ customers where the service they experience is unmatched, and the range of services offered are unequaled.
