Methodology
Sigma is founded on one principle: Efficiency. Whether metabolic or physical, what sets Sigma high above its competition is the ability to prescribe training based on key metabolic features that are not only trackable, but also necessary to increase athletic ability on a more comprehensive basis. Through advanced physiological testing, we are able to partner a diet and training structure designed to work in tandem to provide your body the justification it needs to adapt to your training.
Ideally, the “coaching role” was designed to serve as a conduit between the latest physiological principles and the athlete seeking an improvement in their performance. However, because of the general lack of understanding of metabolism and nutrition, the connection between science and sport has rarely been made or has simply been lost in translation. It seems that unless you are wealthy or currently a professional athlete, it is simply not feasible to justify the expense of recruiting such knowledge and expertise to solidify a link between your desired performance and the people who’ll get you there. Sigma is the answer.
Not only is Sigma the foremost outlet for endurance training prescription, but Sigma is the source of the science by which our coaches direct you in your aspirations. Sigma is the culmination of over 100 years of scientific exploration and precise understanding of what must be done to elevate you to a platform of performance of which you have not previously experienced. Sigma does not believe in the “shotgun” approach of training where by varieties of workouts are prescribed in the hopes one or two might work best for you. If you have a training problem, we find the answer. We do complicate things by guessing.
Each repetition, each mile you ride, each footstep you take has a basis, a purpose, a reason. Our motto: “Minimal input, maximal return” does not smack of complacency. It embodies efficiency, accuracy, and confidence. Sigma understands that you have work, families, obligations, and other factors that place constraints on your ability to devote your life to your sport.
Not only do we have a profound understanding of what makes an athlete better, we have the ability to transfer that knowledge to you through your training in a format that is, not only understandable but, applicable to endurance athletes of any nature.
